Old Money, New Money, and Everybody Else.

Old·Mo·ney [ohld-muhn-ee]

          noun, adjective, plural


1. A group of people, located in East Egg, that are very pompous and proud of themselves and their heritage. They have inherited their money, as it has been in their family. They usually look down on others, more specifically, West Egg. Family, power, and connections have been their family and people haven't worked for it much.

                                    Focus more on themselves, aren't faithful to each other, and are very pompous.

2. Money that is dated from a long time ago.




New·Mo·ney [noo-muhn-ee]


       noun, adjective, plural


1. A group of people, located in West Egg. They have recently made their large fortune of money through luck (As Old Money calls it) or hard work. They focus more on other people more than their money. They are relatively new to having a large fortune, and are looked down by Old Money, or East Eggers. 


     Gatsby 

               Throws many huge parties, wants Daisy Buchanan, and cares about others

2. Money that is dated from a sooner time.


Everybody·Else [ev-ree-bod-ee-els]


       noun, adjective, plural


1. People whom do not belong to New Money or Old Money classifications. They are not rich nor poor, and have a mixed personality of Old and New Money. They live life, and attempt to make the best out of every moment.
